First win of the season, first goal, first assist double... On Saturday, against PFC, the Orange Vélodrome enjoyed a great start to the season.

On the second day of the 2025-2026 McDonald's Ligue 1 season, OM hosted Paris Football Club on Saturday afternoon at the Orange Vélodrome. For this first home game of the season, spectators at the Marseille stadium were not disappointed. They witnessed Roberto De Zerbi's players' first victory of the 2025-2026 season. This was their ninth home win in 2025 in L1, representing the highest number of victories over the period (one draw and one defeat).

This is the third time that OM has won its first game of the season in the last four seasons (OM 2-2 Reims in 2024-25).

As was the case last season, Mason Greenwood is Marseille's first goalscorer of the season. The striker is the fourth player to open the scoring for OM in several consecutive seasons since 1947-48. He joins an exclusive club comprising Robert Buigues (1975-76 and 1976-77), Jean-Pierre Papin (five consecutive seasons in 1987-88 and 1991-92) and André-Pierre Gignac (2013-14 and 2014-15).

With a goal and two assists against PFC, Mason Greenwood has been involved in 18 Ligue 1 goals in 2025 (12 goals, six assists). That's the highest total over the period. It is also the second time that the Bradford native has been involved in three goals in a single match for OM in 38 appearances in all competitions (two goals and one assist against Rennes in May 2025).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his first brace of the season. The Gabonese striker now has 60 goals in Ligue 1, with only Florian Thauvin (86) having scored more among current players in the top flight.

In terms of goalscorers, Robinio Vaz scored his first Ligue 1 goal. The 18-year-old striker was playing his fifth game for Roberto De Zerbi's team.

With assists for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's second goal and Robinio Vaz's goal, Bilal Nadir delivered his first two assists in Ligue 1 against Paris FC.
