The end of a nearly 14-year streak against PSG, a winning streak at home, an early goal, defenders scoring goals... These are the key statistics to remember after Olympique's victory over PSG.

On Monday evening, OM beat Paris Saint-Germain 1–0 at the Orange Vélodrome to close out the fifth matchday of the 2025–2026 McDonald's Ligue 1 season. This is the first time OM has beaten PSG at home in the league since November 2011, after 12 unsuccessful home games (3 draws and 9 defeats). It was the longest streak in its history against the same opponent in the top flight.

OM thus recorded its seventh consecutive home win in L1. The victory came thanks to an early goal from Nayef Aguerd after just 4 minutes and 3 seconds, the fastest goal scored by OM against Paris in the last 45 years, all competitions combined.

By beating PSG 1-0, OM recorded a second clean sheet after their 4-0 win over Lorient. In both matches, the defenders turned into goalscorers, with three of OM's last four goals being scored by defenders Nayef Aguerd and Benjamin Pavard. In fact, the Moroccan international has scored two goals in his first two Ligue 1 matches with OM, after failing to score in his previous 42 league matches in Europe's top five leagues.
