OM-OL: Press conference
Quinten Timber: ‘You haven't seen half of what I can do.’
The training camp in Spain
It was very good. We have a very important match tomorrow. We spent a week together, eating, playing table tennis and working on the pitch. We've regained our intensity in training. It's a very important match and we want to win it.
Mason Greenwood
I've been here for a month. It's felt longer than that, I've played in important matches like Lens. I'm happy, we could have had better results. We work every day to improve our cohesion. I talk to Mason Greenwood like I do with the other players.
The last chance
It depends on how you look at it. We also have a Cup match. We take each match as it comes. We're OM, we want to win every match. The points are tight, so tomorrow will be important.
The last month
I understand. I've been here for a month, but it's felt longer. It happens everywhere, especially at big clubs, and OM is one of them. I have complete confidence in the team and I'm sure we'll do well.
Habib Beye's touch
All coaches are different, but the players are the same. He wants me to be myself, to help the team. I do my best in every match; you have to give 100%. It was good to go to Marbella and get to know each other better. Our job is to do our best.
Ethan Nwaneri
He's a good guy, he has a lot of qualities, he's young. It can't be easy for him with everything that's happened. My brother told me he had a lot of qualities.
The system
Nice try... I'm ready for any system. I'm ready, whatever the position.
OL and TFC at home
We're a big club, there are expectations, we're a good team. We fight, no matter the adversity. We're focusing on the upcoming matches, we want to show our supporters that we appreciate their support.
First steps at OM
Looking at the last few matches, I think I can contribute more goals and assists. I can show more. You haven't seen half of what I'm capable of. I do it in training, but I want to do it in matches.
Ligue 1
Physically, it's more difficult. The players are better with the ball at their feet. I like it, I feel good here. Things change quickly in the standings. You have to be focused in every match, it's a good, stimulating challenge.
Habib Beye: ‘I want to see a winning team’
The training camp in Spain
It went very well. We were in a good environment, which is important for a group that is getting to know each other, to understand their emotions. There were smiles, it was very good. We had activities and it was very good.
The squad
Everyone is available for training.
A new era
I valued everything Roberto De Zerbi did. We have a different approach and methodology. I'm not here to turn everything upside down. We worked on technical and tactical intensity. For the players, a new coach creates emulation. We wanted every moment of training to be a competition. That's important for a team that wants to win again.
Mason Greenwood
You have to value his qualities. I develop players based on their strengths, not their weaknesses. He's very important to the team, he's an asset. He loves football. He's passionate about playing football.
The captaincy
There are many leaders in this team. I'm focusing on the next three months by instilling confidence. Leadership must be embodied and radiate out to others. Balerdi is a very important player for the team. We'll see tomorrow about the armband.
The mindset
I want to see a winning team. It's a match between two top-level teams vying for the Champions League. The week has been based on this challenge. We need to catch up with the top three to have an exciting end to the season. We must have the ambition to go for the top spots in the league. The team needs to play with a sense of freedom.
The Orange Vélodrome
I have experienced some great things there with passion. I will be judged on results. We must take advantage of the fervour that exists here. We know what the stadium can deliver. I will be on the right side, we must use the rivalry to get the match going. We must be at one with the players, the stadium and the crowd.
Tochukwu Nnadi
He brings impact and speed; he's impressive. He has control with the ball and composure. He had a great week in Spain.
Mental
The mental and emotional are linked. When you're not at your best athletically, you're not at your best mentally. We've worked on tactical intensity, both on and off the pitch. There's a collective unity and the players feel calm. We'll need to get the crowd behind us to have a great match.
Verticality against low blocks
We're going to have this type of match, but we have the technical quality to manoeuvre these teams. That's the hardest thing to manage. Verticality is also in the first restart. It's not just a question of running, but also of passing. Lyon are good players and this match will give us space.
The formation
We changed our formation in Brest. The week gave us time to evaluate the team and the players. We worked on several systems and other moves. We have a multitude of choices for tomorrow. You'll see tomorrow what system we use.
The standings
I'm very optimistic. I want to win tomorrow to catch up with Lyon and the teams ahead of us. There are points to be won. A result other than a win would not call everything into question. Playing against Lyon at the Orange Vélodrome is ideal. There is no fear, only excitement. We must radiate joy and be conquering to get the crowd behind us.
The assistants
Sébastien Bichard was with me at Red Star, Olivier Sarragaglia was also at Red Star in the National league, as was Yann Cavezza. All three were also at Rennes. They are joining a staff that has worked well. There is a good working atmosphere. Everyone's role is very important. They are not just executors but a source of ideas. Everyone knows what they have to do.
