On Saturday at 5:30 pm, Olympique de Marseille will host Montpellier at the Orange Vélodrome. After consecutive wins against Nice, Saint-Etienne and Monaco, Les Olympiens will look to snag a fourth win in a row.

Top-3 in Sight

Winners at Nice and Saint-Etienne before the international break, Les Olympiens are riding good momentum, which continued in the win over Monaco . With that most recent 3-4 win, on the Rock, André Villas-Boas' men are on a four-match run without defeat. Collecting 10 points out of 12 has propelled OM to the top of the rankings. Before the 6th matchday, the Marseillais are in fourth place, tied on points with the second and third placed teams and only behind Paris.
The top-3 is in sight of Les Olympiens.

Monaco 3-4 OMCreating success?

Trailing 2-0 at Monaco after justhalf an hour of play, the Marseillais turned the tide of a match. Right on the break, OM returned equalised thanks to goals from Benedetto and Germain. In the second half, Payet and, again, Benedetto sealed the victory. A late goal by the locals fell short.

Montpellier's Road Woes

Since the start of the season, Montpellier, in two trips, has taken only one point, on the second matchday in a draw at Bordeaux (1-1). But Michel Der Zakarian's players show a different side at home. On their pitch, they beat Lyon and Nice.
With seven points (including 6 at home), Montpellier is twelfth in the table. The qualities seen at home, especially defensively (only 4 goals conceded in 5 games) give them hope for better days, provided they are more effective in attack.

André Villas-BoasFrom the coach's Mouth

"We worked well toward trying to win this meeting. Montpellier is very well organized, from a defensive point of view in particular. We must take the three points. This meeting is very important compared to other matches of this matchday. With Rennes-Lille and Lyon-Paris SG. This match is a big test for us. Players will have to be vigilant. The organization and state of mind may not be enough for an opponent of this kind. "
