After dominating the first half, OM was stymied in the second half. The Marseillais go on a second draw in a row and continues its unbeaten run.

An untested xi

With suspensions removing Kamara and Payet from the team along with Alvaro Gonzalez's injury, André Villas-Boas recalibrated his starting XI for the match in Dijon on Matchday 7 in the Ligue 1 Conforama. Duje Caleta-Car and Perrin slotted into central defense. Since the beginning of the season, the Portuguese coach claimed that Lucas Perrin was the fourth-choice central defender. He kept his word by giving him an opportunity. The midfield did not change, with the Lopez-Strootman-Sanson trio. In attack, Benedetto was in the lead with Germain on the left flank and Sarr on the right.

OM's domination

Olympique de Marseille entered the game at the Gaston-Gérard stadium with possession of the ball and didn't delay to attack the goal. In just the third minute, Lopez rose to the forefront but his shot was blocked. Then it was Germain with a denial. At the half-hour mark, Perrin, for his first match in Ligue 1 Conforama took hold of a cross by Sarr, but saw the ball fly high. Germain again tried his luck without finding the frame and finally Sarr had a shot saved.
On the DFCO side, the opportunities were less numerous - even if one of them came dangerously close to the bottom corner, but Amavi deflected the shot.

A different second half

In the second half, Stéphane Jobard's players showed a completely different side. Adventurous and attack-minded, they created several opportunities and even hit Steve Mandanda's post. The Olympien goalkeeper was tested many times but never failed, despite to serious scares. Substitutes Radonijc, Lihadji and Rongier brought fluidity into the midfield, but only Radonjic and Benedetto got off any shots.
OM concluded its second draw in a row.
