Les Olympiens won against Strasbourg (2-0) with goals from Kamara - back after a three-game suspension - and a Strootman penalty.

Strootman and Kamara back

To face Strasbourg in the last game of the 10th matchday in Ligue 1 Conforama, André Villas-Boas made two changes. Kevin Strootman and Boubacar Kamara, suspended in previous meetings, re-took their places in the starting lineup.

On the other hand, Morgan Sanson served a one-match suspension.

The match's ceremonial kick-off honoured a former Olympien, Zarko Olarevic - who played for OM during the 1983/84 season. He also led the team for one season (1985/86).
For their return, Strootman and Kamara hit the ground running.

Kamara Starts StRong

Three minutes were all it took for OM to open the scoring. On a breakaway, Radonjic earned a free-kick from the left side. Benedetto delivered it but it was deflected. Off Strootman's feet and headed toward Kamara, the Olympien youngster scored with a low, hard effort under Matz Sels for his first goal of the season.L'ouverture du score de Bouba Kamara

The match

OM won 2-0 against Strasbourg and dominated throughout the 90 minutes. With a bit of success, the score could have been more. Les Olympiens hit the bar twice. First, Caleta-Car saw his shot deflected by Sels onto his right post. In the second half, it was Radonjic's volley that crashed into the crossbar.

For his part, Steve Mandanda had a rather quiet night, making the stops that were needed including a long-distance shot (53). At the very end of the match, Benedetto won a penalty that he left to Strootman to convert. The Dutchman fooled Sels and sealed the three points.

The only downside of the evening, was a yellow card to Dario Benedetto which forces him to miss the home game against Lille.

OM Back in the Win Column

This was a good way to prepare for the trip to Paris, which will take place on Sunday, 27 October at 9 pm, closing Matchday 11 in the Ligue 1 Conforama. Les Olympiens had not won in the league since Monaco (3-4). Since then, the team has four draws and one defeat. Against PSG, André Villas-Boas will hope to see the returns of Dimitri Payet, Morgan Sanson and Alvaro Gonzalez.

OM climbs

By winning against Strasbourg, OM climbs the league rankings. Villas-Boas' team now holds the 4th place in the table and sit on 16 points. They are now back within touch with the Top-3.
