After victories against Lille and Lyon, Les Olympiens have moved up to third in the table. That's place they will have to defend in Toulouse on Matchday 14 in Ligue 1 Conforama.

Here to stay

Seventh in the table before the game against Lille, the Marseillais climbed following the victory against the Dogues. The win over Lyon propelled them to second place in the league. Following Angers success earlier in the weekend, Marseille currently sit in third.

Now that they are in the top-3, they want to keep it, but the pursuers are now numerous. Before Matchday 14, eight clubs are at within three points of OM.

Re-Configuring the team

For an accumulation of yellow cards, Duje Caleta-Car and Jordan Amavi are both suspended for Matchday 14. Ejected against Lyon at the Orange Vélodrome, Alvaro Gonzalez out versus Toulouse and also be suspended for the home match against Brest.

André Villas-Boas will have to get creative the composition of his defense. And this will have consequences on all of his starting lineup since. Lucas Perrin and Boubacar Kamara could compose the central defense. Bouna Sarr and Hiroki Sakai could be on the wings and Kevin Strootman could regain his position in the holding position.

Toulouse In a Tight Spot

Toulouse Football Club is having a difficult season. After a difficult start, Alain Casanova was replaced by Antoine Koumbouaré following Matchday 9 and a defeat at home in the derby of the Garonne against Bordeaux.

The effects were, as often after the arrival of a new coach, immediate. Toulouse beat Lille the following match day but they quickly fell back recorded three defeats in the league. Only the Coupe de la Ligue and a success on the field of Chamois Niortais allowed a small smile for to William Winner (suspended for the reception of OM) and its partners.

From thecoach's mouth

"You really have to push on. Toulouse has very interesting offensive potential. It will be necessary for us to be at our highest level to win. We need to keep this run of victories. This match can be decisive for us. We are second. But our opponents remain dangerous. What worries me most is our absences and injuries. For the group, the motivation is there and there is no problem at this level."
