Thauvin breaks 25-year-old scoring mark
Full of twists, triumphs and hurdles along the way, one of this season’s most unforgettable milestones will be Florian Thauvin’s fortitude in attack. With one match to spare — set for Matchday 38 against Amiens — Thauvin has settled on 22 goals following a two-goal, 3-3 draw on Friday against Guingamp.
The 22-goal achievement is the highest reached in Ligue 1 by an Olympien since the 1992-1993 season by Alen Baksic — en route to the European Championship.
In the 2018 calendar year, Thauvin’s 14 goals lead all players in L1.
