In the tight competition to qualify for Europe, Sunday's OM-Saint-Étienne showdown was won in the first 20 minutes. With their foot on the accelerator, Les Olympiens dominated Saint-Étienne with displayed relative ease and top efficiency. Omnipresent in both the defensive and attacking strategies, Ocampos dictated the left side and kept control throughout the game. Always working, les Olympiens No. 5 helped fellow left-sider Hiroki Sakai to snuff iout every Saint-Étienne attack.

Returning after three weeks with injury, Mathieu Debuchy was collared by Ocampos that and Sakai. Lacking space, time and service, the former Gunner experienced a plain poor showing.

Defensive Stats for an Attacking player

Faithful to his style, the River Plate product displayed the best defensive stats of the game - plus, he won the penalty that was converted by Thauvin (20th goal of the season) to make it 2-0.

Ocampos took on 22 registered duels. "El Loco" disarmed Debuchy quickly, silenced Hamouma and kept Diony at as soon as he entered off the bench. Only Khazri managed to slip through the cracks in the minutes following the opening goal by Balotelli.

End to end, Ocampos was the strongest Olympien link to success.
