Quentin Merlin is an Olympian !
Coming through the ranks at FC Nantes, Quentin Merlin began his professional career with his hometown club aged just 18 in February 2021. He put in a string of fine performances for the Yellow and Green and played a key role in the club's triumph in the French Cup in 2022, scoring the decisive penalty in the final against OGC Nice (1-0). A victory and a trophy that opened the doors to a European Cup, and more specifically the Europa League group stages in the 2022-2023 season.
At the age of 21, the promising left-back has already played 81 games as a professional, showing off his quality as a crosser of the ball and his attacking skills by providing 7 assists and scoring 3 goals for the Canaries.
His stamina, versatility and ability to project himself forward have also earned him regular call-ups to the national youth teams (U16, U17, U18, U20) and even made him a key member of Thierry Henry's France U21 squad (22 caps for youth teams in total).
