Olympique de Marseille are delighted to announce the signing of Lilian Brassier from Stade Brestois. The 24-year-old central defender has joined the club on loan with an option to buy after passing his medical.

Trained at Stade Rennais, Lilian Brassier made his professional debut in Ligue 2 in 2019-2020, while on loan at Valenciennes FC, a club with whom he made 27 appearances. Spotted by Stade Brestois 29, he arrived in Finistère the following season, where his impact in one-on-one situations and his heading ability were appreciated from his first steps in Ligue 1.

Renowned for his versatility and adaptability in defence, as well as his left-footed finishing, the former France U20 international made his mark over the seasons thanks to his consistency, becoming a permanent fixture in the Brest team.

With over 100 games and 5 goals to his name in Ligue 1, Lilian Brassier has become one of Ligue 1's best-known centre-backs at just 24 years of age.
