With their victory in Le Havre, Marseille have mathematically secured a place on the podium of Ligue 1 McDonald's and therefore a ticket to the next Champions League.

It was the goal announced at the start of the season by Olympique de Marseille's management: to finish on the podium and qualify directly for the next edition of the Champions League.

On the penultimate day of the 2024-2025 McDonald's Ligue 1 season, Roberto De Zerbi's players took all three points thanks to a brace from Amine Gouiri and a goal from Mason Greenwood on the pitch in Le Havre. This 3-1 victory, combined with the other results of the 33rd day of L1, puts OM in second place with 62 points, five points ahead of fourth-placed OGC Nice. With only one day of the championship left to play, Olympique de Marseille is therefore mathematically assured of finishing second or third.

OM will therefore play in the group stage of the 2025-2026 Champions League!
