Mason Greenwood: ‘A very positive season’

His first season at OM

It's been a very positive season, we achieved our goals. There's one game left, but we've had a very good season, a successful season.

His goal against Le Havre

I was very happy, surprised because it was a long shot, I didn't think I would score. There was pressure for the Champions League, the match had been interrupted. For the people of Marseille, it was amazing and I don't think I've ever been happier in my football career.

Next year

I hope to be here to play in the Champions League. It would be on another level with a full stadium and the support of the fans.

We were second for most of the season. We deserve this place, there's one game left and it depends on the result.

It's a big club, you have to be 100% on the pitch, there are leaders who help us give our all on the pitch and be united. There have been ups and downs, but ultimately there have been more ups than downs.

I'm more comfortable on the right wing. I've played in a lot of positions, but it doesn't matter, it's up to the coach.

The relationship has been good, it's positive to have players like that in the dressing room. They've played for some great teams. It's important for the young players and those in the academy to have players like Rabiot and Højbjerg.

I came here for him. We learned a lot and he helped me develop my game.

The low points of the season

In the middle of the season, I wasn't at my best. Everyone supported me. We tried to improve things. We stuck together and the training camp in Rome helped us.

All attackers want to attack and not defend. It will be more demanding next year, but with experience we will do even better.

The coach's confidence

It's nice when the coach thinks highly of you. We did a good job. Without my teammates, the coach and the staff, I wouldn't have achieved anything. I thank them for that.

Areas for improvement

Consistency throughout games. That's the key: trying to play better in every game.

The fans

We play with a 12th man. At home, it's incredible. Here, it's one of the best atmospheres in Europe. Even away from home, you can feel that passion, it's amazing.

I have a child here, I feel at home. It's special. The season has been very good, thanks to my teammates, the coach and the staff.

Ligue 1

It's a difficult league, with young and talented players. The defences are very strong. You don't see that, though. We play against very athletic players.

Paris in the Champions League final

We've seen some of PSG's games. They're very good, but we're focusing on ourselves. It doesn't matter who wins...

The relationship with the fans

It's been very good. It's nice to see young people wearing my shirt. I try to play well to thank them. Hearing your name chanted is an incredible feeling.

Yes, we've discussed it, but I haven't made any decision yet.

He's a great player, we saw that from the first training session. It's a good transfer. He's already scored 10 goals. It's great to play with him like this.
