Olympique de Marseille and Aix Marseille University sign a multi-year framework agreement

Olympique de Marseille (OM) and Aix Marseille University (amU) formalized a framework agreement on Saturday, November 29. Signed at the Orange Vélodrome, this collaboration is structured around four main pillars: improving athletic performance, rehabilitation, training & job placement, and societal impact.

The first pillar of the agreement, improving athletic performance, draws on amU's scientific excellence to meet the demands of high-level competition, particularly in the areas of sports science, data, and performance analysis.

The program also includes a shared rehabilitation and performance unit, which will offer assessments, personalized recovery programs, objective criteria for returning to play, and integrated data monitoring.

Because performance is also built on skills, the framework agreement provides for close collaboration in the area of professional development. Various measures will be designed to enhance students' job placement and create skills bridges with careers in sports, performance, and sporting events.

Finally, the agreement will give rise to projects with a societal impact, supported by Treizième Homme, to encourage education, sports participation, and cohesion in the region. These actions will be designed with local stakeholders, methodically evaluated, and designed to last, so that the commitment of Olympique de Marseille and Aix Marseille University benefits as many people as possible.
