Scientific symposium on ACL rupture
On 11 February 2026, Olympique de Marseille organised its first ever scientific symposium on anterior cruciate ligament tears at the Orange Vélodrome.
Led by the club's scientific unit and supported by Treizième Homme, this event marks an important step in Olympique de Marseille's desire to assert and share its medical and sporting expertise.
Throughout the day, healthcare professionals, high-level sports figures and members of the Olympique staff discussed the support provided to injured athletes, from prevention to rehabilitation, including psychological support, nutrition and post-rehabilitation performance.
The conference featured feedback from Lasaad Hasni, Director of the Training Centre, and Dr Abdou Sbihi, the club's Medical Expert, whose daily commitment contributes to the development of a demanding and innovative approach to serving the club.
Encouraged by the success of this first edition, the club is reaffirming its ambition to establish Marseille as a leading centre of scientific expertise applied to high-level sport.
This initiative is set to be repeated and expanded to other topics in order to promote knowledge sharing and strengthen synergies between the medical and sporting worlds.
