After more than 4 months without football, expectations were high ahead of the broadcast of the first preseason. For Olympique de Marseille, it was a resounding success with more than 110k simultaneous online viewers and 300K unique viewers.

To be exact, 34K spectators watched the match from our om.fr site, but OM also became the first club in France to broadcast a match on Twitch and spectators made their presence known.

Olympique de Marseille achieved one of the best audiences in 2020 in France on this platform: 100K simultaneously spectators and 266K unique spectators through the match against FC PINZGAU.

Olympique de Marseille Chief Marketing & Media Officer, Hervé Philippe: "After this long break, it was important for us to allow as many OM supporters as possible to be able to witness OM's return to the pitch, free of charge. Without cutting us off from our most traditional fans on our om.fr site, these impressive results confirm the popularity of our club and the power of the OM community on social networks. They also reinforce our ambition to increasingly connect with a young and very digitally-active audience. Olympique de Marseille will continue to innovate and is proud to once again be a pioneer on this subject. New content, dedicated to Twitch, will be offered throughout this season."

Next, live on the official OM website and Twitch account: Wednesday at 7 p.m. CET for the second preseason match against SV Heimstetten.
