Olympique de Marseille deplores the unacceptable incidents that took place this evening in the vicinity of the Stade Orange Vélodrome, involving the official team bus and buses of the supporters of Olympique Lyonnais.

The club wishes Lyon coach Fabio Grosso a speedy recovery and strongly condemns this violent behaviour, which has no place in the world of football or in society.
 

Because of a handful of thoughtless people, the party planned for this evening has been ruined and 65,000 fans have been deprived of attending a football match.
 

The club complies with the decision taken by the Ligue de Football Professionnel and is at its disposal to ensure that the match scheduled for Sunday 29 October takes place at the Stade Orange Vélodrome as soon as possible and under the best possible conditions.
