Olympique de Marseille announces the appointment of Alessandro Antonello as General Manager. This recruitment, led by Pablo Longoria with the participation of the Supervisory Board and the approval of owner Frank McCourt, is part of the club's project to firmly establish itself among the top 24 European clubs, both in sporting and institutional terms. Alessandro Antonello becomes a member of Olympique de Marseille’s Management Board, alongside President Longoria and Alban Juster, General Manager – Finance & Compliance.

Within Olympique de Marseille, Alessandro Antonello will be responsible for the club’s economic development. He will lead the strategy to increase and diversify revenues, fully maximize the potential of the Orange Vélodrome stadium, accelerate the club’s digital transformation, and strengthen and internationalize the OM brand. In close coordination with the executive team, he will play a central role in implementing the growth-oriented project supported by the owner and the club’s presidency, in line with their sustainable and responsible business approach.

Alessandro Antonello joins Marseille after more than ten years at Inter Milan, where he successively held the positions of Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. In this role, he successfully led the transformation of the Milanese club, marked by strong revenue growth, an ambitious commercial repositioning, and the winning of seven titles. Alessandro Antonello previously held the position of Board member of the European Club Association (ECA) and of Lega Serie A.

Pablo Longoria, President of Olympique de Marseille, states: "I am very happy to welcome Alessandro Antonello to OM. We have known each other for several years, and I have always been convinced that he is one of the executives with the deepest knowledge of the football industry in Europe. I particularly value his high standards, his integrity, and his ability to evolve organizations in complex environments. His experience will be invaluable in supporting the development of Olympique de Marseille in all its dimensions."

Alessandro Antonello, General Manager of Olympique de Marseille, adds: "It is a great honor, and I am proud to join an iconic club like Olympique de Marseille. I am very happy to work alongside Pablo Longoria, Alban Juster, and to start collaborating with all the employees. I sincerely thank the owner Frank McCourt and the President Pablo Longoria for the trust placed in me. OM is a unique club, with a history, a passion and an ambition that are rare in European football. I will devote all my energy to supporting the project led by Pablo Longoria to build a bright future for the Club."

Alessandro Antonello’s arrival will be effective as of July 1, 2025.
