OM Amputees is set to take another step forward in its development by taking part, for the first time in its history, in the European Amputee Football Federation (EAFF) Europa League.

From 23 to 25 April in Ankara (Turkey), the Olympians will take part in this European competition, which brings together several of the continent’s top teams. Drawn in Group A, the Marseille side will face Turkish club Başkent Ampute Futbol Gücü Spor Kulübü and Ukrainian side Football Club Crusaders.

This first European appearance illustrates the progress made by the OM Amputés project since its inception. Over the months, the team has taken shape and developed, driven by the commitment of the club, Treizième Homme and its partner ÖKO Europe to make football a platform for inclusion and personal achievement.

Beyond sporting objectives, this competition represents a further opportunity to shine a spotlight on football for amputees and the values of Olympique de Marseille that this project embodies: solidarity, resilience and passion.

The players of OM Amputés will thus have the privilege of wearing the club’s colours on the European stage and representing Marseille in a discipline that is booming internationally.

The detailed match schedule will be announced shortly.
