First international victory for the OM amputee football team
The OM football team for amputees has reached a new milestone by playing its first international matches against Italian club Insuperabili.
Held in Sauvian (Hérault) on 25 and 26 April, this double confrontation was part of the Football Friendship Trophy for Amputees, organised in support of the association LA CLE (L'Aide aux Cancers et Leucémies chez l'Enfant - Help for Children with Cancer and Leukaemia).
Having made steady progress since the team was launched last January, the Olympians were in fine form. They secured a 2-0 victory in their first match before confirming their dominance the following day with another 3-2 win.
