Biography

A former French international (121 caps), Corinne Diacre spent most of her playing career at ASJ Soyaux, playing more than 350 matches at the highest level before starting her coaching career there. The first woman in France to obtain the BEPF, the highest qualification in the profession, she reached a milestone in French football in 2014 by becoming the first and, to date, only woman to coach a professional men's team, Clermont Foot 63 in Ligue 2.

On the strength of this unique experience and her recognised coaching career, she was then appointed coach of the French women's team in 2017. She led Les Bleues to the quarter-finals of the 2019 World Cup and the semi-finals of Euro 2022, during which time she had some of the world's greatest players under her command, further strengthening her expertise at the highest level.

Her know-how, rigour and pioneering career are major assets that are perfectly in line with the identity and project of Les Marseillaises.
