Our coach Habib Beye's reaction at the press conference after his team's elimination in the quarter-finals of the French Cup on penalties against Toulouse FC.

A disappointment

We conceded quickly from a penalty. We knew what kind of match we were going to have, with a lot of battles and long balls behind us. We need to be much better at set pieces. We can't concede two goals like that. We weren't good enough in that area tonight.

Penalty kicks

It's a technical skill. You have to accept the order. Paixão was tired, he had cramps and we took him off. The players who take the penalty kicks deserve credit for going for it. I don't blame them.

Leonardo Balerdi

I like the personality of a player who decides to go for it. We were very clear about the order. Balerdi and Nwaneri are the most affected tonight. There is bitterness.

Message to the supporters

The disappointment is equal to the hope placed in us in the Coupe de France. We have to accept it, look ahead, face up to it, accept the sadness of the supporters and not question the disappointment.

Toulouse again in three days

There are 10 games left in Ligue 1 with a place in the Champions League up for grabs. The disappointment is significant, but we have to put it behind us. My job will be to give the players the energy to go into battle in Toulouse. We were on top throughout the game, but perhaps we lacked a touch of technical skill.

The match

Toulouse played balls behind our defence to stretch us. Pressing is only possible when the opposition are building up play. We won the ball back and got into their half. We need to be more creative and more precise. We scored two goals but we also conceded two. We conceded two goals from set pieces, which is their strength, and we knew that. We need to improve in that area.

Defence

This fragility is a logical consequence of our defensive block. It's a collective problem. We're working on it. We score all the time, but we concede goals. We're failing in this area. In set-piece situations, we weren't aggressive and assertive enough. The conclusion is clear.
