A look back at the launch of Lettre au Football
Rolled out across all OM Next Gen clubs, ‘Lettre au Football’ aims to raise awareness among coaches and parents about the appropriate behaviour to adopt on the touchline, as well as the various forms of abuse children may face on match days.
Launched on Wednesday 14 May, this programme featured a day packed with highlights: A U7 tournament at the OM Campus focused on fun, with activities for children and an awareness-raising stand for adults A training session at the Orange Vélodrome for OM Next Gen club mediators on running the awareness-raising module, which they will deliver to coaches and parents of young members at their clubs Each club left with its ‘Lettre au Football’ kit, comprising:
-Deterrent posters to be displayed around the pitch
-A ‘violence meter’ tailored to the theme of violence in amateur sport
-A USB stick containing the videos and presentation materials for the awareness module, as well as a public service announcement for wide distribution
-A pack of methodological sheets to support the implementation of the module
‘Lettre au Football’ is a programme initiated by Treizième Homme and developed in collaboration with Aix-Marseille University, the Ligue Méditerranée, the Provence District, OM Next Gen representatives, and with the support of the Région Sud.
