Marta Carro joins Les Marseillaises

Born on 6 January 1991 in Cadiz, Marta Carro is a versatile player who can play both centre-back and defensive midfielder. She trained at Atlético Madrid, where she spent nearly a decade and won the Copa de la Reina in 2016. After a brief spell in Italy with AGSM Verona, where she made her debut in the Women's Champions League, she returned to Spain and joined Madrid CFF, then Valencia CF Femenino, two clubs playing in the top flight of Spanish women's football.

A key player for the club, Marta played nearly 200 official matches, becoming one of the most capped players in Valencia's history.

The Spanish international, renowned for her physical impact, strength in one-on-one situations and reading of the game, is a prime signing to strengthen Olympique's defensive solidity and bring all her experience to the team.
