In the round of 16 of the French Women's Cup, Marseille were defeated 5–1 at the Francis-Turcan Stadium in Martigues.

The bar is still too high for Marseille when they face one of the best teams in France and Europe. Against OL Lyon, leaders of the Arkema Première Ligue, Corinne Diacre's players did everything they could. At half-time, they were trailing 3-0. They finally lost 5-1. Marie-Charlotte Léger saved the day by scoring a goal at the end of the match.

After a fine run in the French Women's Cup, Marseille's adventure came to an end in the round of 16. They will face OL Lyon twice in the coming weeks, in the league and in the LFFP Cup.
