Youth League: OM beaten at home
As on the first day, on Real Madrid's pitch, OM may have regrets. Our Olympians put in a serious performance and even led 3-1 as half-time approached. Unfortunately, a Dutch goal in added time revived Ajax, who had opened the scoring in the match. Keyliane Abdallah from a free kick, then Ugo Lamare and finally Fodé Camara had given OM a one-goal lead at half-time. But, building on their momentum from reducing the deficit just before the half-time whistle, the Ajax players equalised shortly after the break. They took the lead in the second half and, despite Olympique's attempts, Ajax won in Martigues against OM by scoring an additional goal in added time.
After two matchdays in the UEFA Youth League, OM has zero points. In the next matchday, on Wednesday 22 October, OM will travel to Sporting Lisbon.
