Hatik, Kemmler, R.E.D.K., AM La Scampia, Zamdane, Relo, Saïd d'IAM, Drime, all joined "OM La Compo" together with Olympique de Marseille for an exceptional OM Sessions!

All these artists have joined together for a good cause as the song pays tribute to all those who are on the frontline against COVID-19, from the care-givers to the fire brigade and shopkeepers.

On this track, which features on #cOMbatquotidien, the rappers from Olympique de Marseille combine talent with solidarity: the entire monetisation of the song will be donated to Marseille's hospitals and to the most destitute via OM Fondation.

The music is available here : https://omlacompo.lnk.to/cOMbatquotidien

The BMG label, for its part is providing distribution and promotion free of charge.

The entire OM community is mobilized in this video: players (past and present), the anonymous, fans and celebrities from Luka Peros (La Casa de Papel) to Benji Samat, via Alice Belaidi.

"When OM contacted me about this initiative, I didn't think about it, it was like a cry from the heart. If on my own level I can help, then I'll do it, it’s the same fight," says Hatik, one of the participants, popularized by the Canal+ series "Validé".

Olympique de Marseille would like to thank all the artists, workers, volunteers, and personalities for participating and making this project possible.

more about the artists

Hatik

His name is Hatik, but under the name "Apash" in "Validé", Canal+'s flagship series, the 27-year-old Guyancourt native has taken on a new dimension. Rapper since he was 16 years old, he started between a few odd jobs with "America 2 & Connaissance et style”. It was his two "chaise pliante” mixtapes at the end of 2018 that allowed this fan of the first hour of the Olympique de Marseille to make his mark. He further increased his notoriety with "Le Projet Berlin", with Dailymotion. Propelled and validated by series "Validé", Hatik is one of the rising stars of French rap.

Kemmler

From his debut to the release of his album "Rose", Kemmler embodied the new generation of Phocéan rap. Born in Marseille, Kemmler is a demanding rapper, where every note and every word is chiseled, chosen and composed. This taste for words came to him from a writing workshop at college, which he had initially refused before taking the plunge. His songs "Pardonne-les" and "J'suis pas chanteur" demonstrate his taste for phrasing and emotion. Signed at Island Def Jam, Kemmler is also one of the first participants in the OM Sessions, through the remarkable "Mandanda".

R.E.D.K.

R.E.D.K. has been rapping for over 25 years. Alone or with others, but always with a remarkable style. For him, the substance is inseparable from the form. R.E.D.K. made his first steps in different bands and then with Carpe Diem, in turn through mixtapes and critically acclaimed albums. Respected and cited as a reference by the Marseille rap scene, in 2012, he teamed up with his friend Soprano to release the joint album "E=2 MC's". He is the heir of conscious rap, where the social dimension is omnipresent in his lyrics.  Since November 2019 he presents the "OM Sessions".

AM La Scampia

The story of AM La Scampia is that of a melting pot in the image of its city Marseille. Of Algerian origin, the Marseille native transposes in his lyrics and his universe touches of Italy (we think of the title "Romanzo criminale"), and especially of the South, as his stage name suggests - Scampia being a district of Naples. Expressions from Marseille are intermingled with a sometimes oriental musicality. A lover of marked sonorities and dancing instruments, AM La Scampia is also a close friend of Lacrim with whom he has collaborated within his label "Plata O Plomo" where he featured. In November 2019 he participated in the launch episode of "OM Sessions" with "Maradona".

Relo

His voice weighs heavy and when you listen to his songs, Relo makes a mark. Signed by the historical label "Néochrome" since 2015, Relo (originally called Napo, his nickname since he was a child), follows in the footsteps of R.E.D.K. - with whom he has regularly collaborated - and of a conscious rap, which describes our social reality. Originally from the 13th arrondissement of Marseille, this thirty-something likes to stay in the shadows (he doesn't show up in his clips) and wishes above all to highlight his lyrics and music. Between mixtapes and albums, his four records seduced the whole city, like the single "Marseille en vrai", featuring Kenny Arkana.

Saïd d’IAM

It is almost pointless to introduce IAM, one of the biggest rap groups in Marseille. Saïd has been one of its members since 2008. Singer, closer to soul, Saïd is in charge of the backing vocals within the Marseille group. His universe is marked by a mix of soul and rap that resonates and blends together. His album "Music" where Shurik'n, R.E.D.K and Akhenathon make their appearance.

Zamdane

It is during the summer of 2016 that Zamdane set down his suitcases in Marseille, coming from Morocco, initially to pursue his studies in economics. In the city of Marseille, he then began to make his move into the rap world in open mics. His first song, "Sinbad", attracted a lot of attention, before "Favaro" made him grow even more. The latter sound has since been listened to millions of times.

In 2017, he takes part in the freestyles of the Rules in the sixth session and then in the Grünt 34 dedicated to him, which allows him to introduce his music to a wider audience. In February 2019, he took part in Episode 3 of the OM Sessions, a musical project launched by Olympique de Marseille, with the title "Potentiel".

Drime

The success of Drime is the success of spontaneity. As the Olympian people mourn the death of former OM President Pape Diouf from COVID-19 on 31 March, Drime decided to write a freestyle to pay tribute to him. The exercise led him to go viral on the social networks and exceed one million views. A rapper originally from Marseille, he is close to the club's fan groups and a lover of Olympique de Marseille.
