Olympique de Marseille has appointed Matthieu Louis-Jean as the club's head of recruitment.

Former Le Havre and Nottingham Forest defender Matthieu Louis-Jean, 45, will join the club in the beginning of May as head of the recruitment department.

Matthieu knows David Friio, the club's technical director, with whom he played at Nottingham in 2005 and worked with the first team at Manchester United (2016/2017), as well as Mathieu Seckinger, already a member of the department. He also worked for the recruitment department of OGC Nice (2019/2020).

David Friio, technical director of OM: "We are very happy that Matthieu has agreed to join us. He is someone who is well recognised across our field for his professionalism and expertise. We speak the same language. We welcome him.
