Amine Gouiri's acrobatic overhead kick against Brest at the Orange Vélodrome has been voted the best goal of the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 McDonald's season.
On Sunday afternoon, the day after Olympique de Marseille qualified for the next edition of the Champions League, Amine Gouiri received the Just Fontaine trophy for the best goal of the Ligue 1 season at the UNFP Awards ceremony.
His acrobatic overhead kick against Stade Brestois at the Orange Vélodrome on 27 April during the 31st matchday of the 2024-2025 Ligue 1 McDonald's season was voted the best goal of the season.
Amine Gouiri joins an illustrious list of Ligue 1 goal scorers, including illustrious Olympians such as Didier Drogba (2004), Laurent Batlles (2005), Franck Ribéry (2006), Mathieu Valbuena (2008), Mamadou Niang (2010) and, most recently, before the Algerian international, Bamba Dieng (2022).
