Our U17 team beat the bottom side in the group, US Albi, and now sit eight points clear at the top of the table.

On Saturday 14 March, our U17s hosted US Albi, bottom of Group E, with every intention of picking up points and putting pressure on their pursuers, who were already six points adrift.

It was no easy task. Indeed, the Albi side did not back down against the league leaders and even opened the scoring before the quarter-hour mark. Fortunately, Stéphane François’s players regained control of the game and turned the situation around within five minutes of the half-hour mark. Samy Bedja levelled the scores before Elies Diallo put his side ahead following a fine team move. In the second half, Lucas Roman, who had come on ten minutes earlier, sealed the victory for Marseille.

Following this win on Saturday and RCO Agde’s draw on Sunday, OM have extended their lead at the top of Group E, now sitting eight points clear. In the next round of fixtures, on Sunday 22 March at 3pm, OM will travel to face second-placed RCO Agde.
