French Cup: Les Marseillaises qualify
In the round of 32 of the French Women's Cup, which marked the entry into the competition of the Arkema Première Ligue teams, Marseille travelled to Thonon Evian Grand Genève FC. Corinne Diacre's players had chances in the first half but failed to find the net. The game was decided in the second half. From a corner kick in the final quarter of an hour, Salomé Elisor, well positioned at the far post, took advantage of the opposing goalkeeper's risky sortie to head the ball into the back of the net.
The Marseille players managed to hold on to their lead until the final whistle and thus qualify for the round of 16 of the French Women's Cup.
The draw for the round of 16 will take place on Monday 12 January at 12.15pm. The matches will be played on the weekend of Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 January 2026.
